For the Presidential Election, would a reality TV show like ‘The Apprentice’ be better than televised debates?

Each candidate would have his or her own selected team (cabinet) and be put in realistic scenarios that a US President would encounter. The debates are becoming less and less meaningful than before. Debates are not a good test for the job of President and this would be more revealing to their leadership style and ability.
