Why won't Yahoo clean up the spam on Y! A?

This rampant spam problem has gotten out of hand and has been this way for quite some time. Why isn't Y! staff doing something about this? In certain sections (like Television and especially Careers & Employment) 80% of the answers are from spammers or spam bots!
