Dog spins in circles and attacks legs?

Sounds like anxiety. Try to get him comfortable with just one new person visiting, and that new person giving him toys or treats so he ociates visitors with pleasant things. You can't really work on this with multiple people visiting, so once your family is gone, try practicing this with a friend coming over, but be sure not to overwhelm the dog by having several people visit at once, just start with one person at a time.
