HELP! What can I use to remove what seems to be hardened mildew from my sliding shower doors?

Nothing is working! I have tried mildew remover and CLR thinking maybe its not mildew. But nothing seems to be helping too much. We are selling our house and I need help to remove whatever this may be. We have sliding shower doors and this buildup has occurred on the frame bottom where the shower doors slide.
