When do you cancel unwanted offers, promotions, trials, etc. on FLR Free lunch room?

I was wondering how long you usually wait until you cancel the offers so it won't effect your status on the freebie site. Can you cancel the next day, or even the same day? Wait a few days or even a couple of days until the promotion ends?
