Finally, does your faith revolve around the proving of historical fact? ie look at my other questions...?
Christianity seems to rest more on not being historically disconfirmed than being historically proven. If being a Christian is a matter more of faith than of sight, then faith is the Christian's major mode of knowledge about God. Of course, the Christian has faith IN Jesus Christ, who was an historical figure, and believes certain things about him which would have happened historically. But because the Christian's convictions well up from faith, he or she will not sit around until the historical facts have been proven. It is enough to see that they have not been disproven. If they were disproven, then faith would be disconfirmed. But, again, it's not clear - to me at least - that any of it has been disproven or disconfirmed. I'd repeat the request of another poster for you to explain what you mean by implying that Mary's and the physical reduction of Christ's miracles are facts. Do you think that they're facts or are you just listing them as examples of some problem areas?
